March 1st ... Spring is knocking at my door!

The sun is warming the earth again today, here in Upstate NY. Life is busy under the blanket of snow, for certain!

We saw an opossum the other night, waddling through the snow! At first I thought it was an injured cat, with a terribly skinny tail! Then a RAT came to mind! But Steve's eyes, being much better than mine, could see that it really was a disoriented possum! I did run to grab the camera, but it waddled out of view by the time I had the camera opened, and ready to aim. (I do miss nature shots, often, as nature has a mind of it's own!)

In the past week, we have seen the opossum, deer, a bunny, gray squirrels (at least a dozen in the area again!), two red squirrels, and a host of different birds, including robins!

I imagine there are other critters nearby, that we have not seen, (as the odor of a resident skunk was evident, while I took my early morning walk the other day!)

Life is bustling about, in anticipation of the upcoming season!
